Younes, again, you are well on the right.

This is analogous to the "mental representations" Anders Ericsson uses in his deliberate practice method. I imagine the quality of these "learning maps" as memory palaces because it makes it so clear: the better optimized and organized your memory palace is, the bigger the amount of objects that you can memorize with it.

Not to say that "learning" equals "memorizing", but it highlights the vital importance of creating good learning maps from the beginning.
