Yeah Medium can say it's pivoting to a more relational model as much they want, but their interface is still pulling in the opposite direction.

Try RSS feeds Aigner. I found this article because I have your RSS manually added to a folder, among a small list of writers. When I want to read Medium I go to that folder, not to my homepage. That way I don't miss anything (and neither I have to *manually* search writer's names on the bloody search box one by one because their faces happen not to be in the "latest from following" snippet).

Every writer and topic has its own feed. You just type "medium.com/feed/topic/[the topic]" or "medium.com/feed/@[author" and aggregate that to a rss reader like Inoreader or Feedly.

Anyway—that's how I cope with it.
