When one stops to think about the amount of error you have to experience to get to a finished piece of art, you can only conclude that art is more about error than it is about anything else.

It doesn't matter if it's a poem, an essay, a pot of clay, or an orchestral arrangement. They're all enfolded in failure.

Perhaps it is this way so we don't get full of ourselves, so we don't get tempted to pretend a halo of divinity and inborn brilliance over our creations.

That's how we move forward to the next creation, for we will never run out of imperfections to explore.
