Smart move. If I were a Buddhist monk trying to escape from an earthquake in the Himalayas, I would probably have to levitate my way out of there.
I love this distinction between "routines" and "practices." They-are-not-the-same. Practices live by the motto "The more you know, the less you need."
Not "more" in the sense of how much content I've consumed this week. But in the sense of how much knowledge I managed to internalize and master.
I experienced that with meditation and exercise. I don't have a training journal nor I need an app to remind me to meditate. I just do those things; I've internalized them.
And then practices play a big role in keeping you productive and sane, so any temptation about abandoning them fades away.
