I have to disagree here: anything that requires skill is, by definition, a "craft." But anything done skillfully can say something about ourselves, and therefore, be artistic.

Painting, dancing, playing music, cooking, you name it. They all possess a balance between the two.

You practice the craft so you can stop paying attention to it. So you can focus on the art.
