As a lifelong cranky, I endorse this piece 👏👏

Here's another thing I tell myself whenever that inner voice tells me I should express gratitude yet I'm somewhat reluctant: "Say thanks for the luck."

The "luck" is everything that is not in our control. The people we stumble upon, the decisions they make, the weather, which side of the toast hits the floor first.

If I think in terms of luck, then it's impossible for me to take credit.
